Community Ownership Pilot — Proposal

A Community Ownership Pathway for Organizations & Their Members

MDRRI has developed a regenerative land ownership education model designed to bring resources directly to community organizations and their members — building real wealth through land access, education, and action.

What This Is

  • A structured, 7-step ownership roadmap with clear guardrails and action checklists
  • Educational resources designed for community organizations and their members
  • A model that centers community wealth-building and land access

Why This Model

Black and Indigenous communities have faced systemic barriers to land ownership for generations. MDRRI was built to change that — offering a replicable, community-centered campus model that trains new farmers, builds local food systems, and creates real ownership pathways. This model is designed for any organization ready to bring these resources to their members.

What We're Requesting From Organization Leadership

To move this proposal forward, we're asking for three things:

1

A 15-minute call to connect with the right person

We're looking for a brief conversation to identify the appropriate department or contact within your organization's leadership to evaluate this proposal.

2

Permission to run a 90-day pilot with select groups

A focused pilot program with 1–2 groups to test the ownership pathway model, gather feedback, and measure outcomes before any broader rollout.

3

Identify 1–2 internal sponsors

We're looking for internal champions within your organization who can help evaluate and support the pilot from within.

What Organization Members Would Receive

  • 7-step ownership roadmap with clear guardrails and action checklists
  • Organization-ready education curriculum and workshop materials
  • Priority access to MDRRI pilot campus programs and events
  • Direct connection to MDRRI leadership and partner network
